It was recorded reside on September 9, 1978, on the Common Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, when the band opened for comic Steve Martin. The album consists of covers of blues and soul songs from the Fifties to Nineteen Seventies. The album reached primary on the Billboard 200 and went double platinum; in accordance with Blues Brothers member Dan Aykroyd, the album has bought 3.5 million copies in all. It’s among the many highest-selling blues albums of all time.
